The first “Oreo” hit the market in 1912. It was a sandwich of vanilla cream between two chocolate flavoured cookies. By the 1960’s it had become a symbol of America and the Nation’s favourite snack, and today is probably the most popular cookie in the World. Several reincarnations followed by way of Limited Editions, Celebrations, and Seasonal fillings. “BIRTHDAY CAKE” was produced to celebrate 100 years of the OREO in 2012.
